SNCB International will take you straight to Brussels Airport – also known as the airport of Zaventem. The InterCity trains will get you there from Belgium and the Netherlands.

InterCity Brussels - Amsterdam disappears

From 15 December 2024, the InterCity Brussels - Amsterdam will cease to run. Eurocity Direct and EuroCity will from then on operate the service between Belgium and the Netherlands.

14 April (from 10 pm) and 15 April: strike in Belgium

Update 14/4, 10 am

Due to a strike, the rail service on the Belgian rail network will be limited from Monday 14 April (10 pm) to Tuesday 15 April 2025 included.

An alternative train service has been drawn up based on available train staff. Take this alternative train service into account if you need to take a domestic connection in Belgium before or after your international train journey, or if you need to take our regional trains shortly across the border (Roosendaal, Maastricht, Aachen, Luxembourg, Lille or Maubeuge). More details on this alternative train service are available on www.belgiantrain.be.

All TGV INOUI, Eurostar, OUIGO and ICE trains operate normally. However, several EuroCity and Eurocity Direct trains that connect Belgium and The Netherlands are cancelled on Tuesday 15/4.

EuroCity: 12 trains out of 16 will operate in each direction. Cancelled trains:

  • 9227: Brussels-Midi/Zuid 09:44 - Rotterdam CS 11:50
  • 9243: Brussels-Midi/Zuid 13:44 - Rotterdam CS 15:50
  • 9255: Brussels-Midi/Zuid 16:44 - Rotterdam CS 18:50
  • 9271: Brussels-Midi/Zuid 20:44 - Rotterdam CS 22:50
  • 9220: Rotterdam CS 09:09 - Brussels-Midi/Zuid 11:17
  • 9248: Rotterdam CS 16:09 - Brussels-Midi/Zuid 18:17
  • 9256: Rotterdam CS 18:09 - Brussels-Midi/Zuid 20:17
  • 9268: Rotterdam CS 21:09 - Brussels-Midi/Zuid 23:17
