Set out to explore Breda, a town in the south of the Netherlands within 10 km from the Belgian border, and let yourself be surprised by its versatility. EuroCity trains will take you straight to the city centre every day!
Due to a strike in Belgium, the rail service on the Belgian rail network will be limited from Monday 14 April (10 pm) to Tuesday 15 April 2025 included.
An alternative train service will be drawn up based on available train staff. Take this alternative train service into account if you need to take a domestic connection in Belgium before or after your international train journey, or if you need to take our regional trains shortly across the border (Roosendaal, Maastricht, Aachen, Luxembourg, Lille or Maubeuge). More details on this alternative train service will be available 48h in advance on www.belgiantrain.be.
For the time being, we still don't know the possible impact of this strike on international trains (EuroCity, Eurocity Direct, TGV INOUI, Eurostar, OUIGO, ICE etc.). We advise to check this page regularly for further updates.
Due to planned engineering works on the Belgian rail network, rail traffic between Brussels and Antwerp will be adapted on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April 2025, with consequences for the EuroCity (Brussels-Rotterdam) and Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam).
Due to planned engineering works on the dutch rail network, the EuroCity (Brussels-Rotterdam) and Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam) services will be restricted as follows from Thursday 17 April to Monday 21 April:
Thursday 17 April from 6 pm
Friday 18 to Sunday 20 April included
Monday 21 April until 12am
