It’s an easy journey by train from Cologne to Brussels, your first stop. With 2 high-speed trains – Eurostar and ICE - competing on this route, you’ll get to the Belgian capital in no time at all.
Set off in Köln Hbf, Cologne’s main train station, situated next to the famous cathedral. After a comfortable journey with a travel time of less than 2 hours, you’ll arrive at Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid, where you’ll board the train to London.
In Brussels, you can take your connecting Eurostar at Brussels (Midi/Zuid) station right after your arrival there. Great Britain isn’t included in the Schengen Area, so you’ll have to go through check-in1 at the Channel Terminal. The Belgian and British authorities will verify your identity documents and – if required – your visa. During these security checks, baggage and passengers alike need to go through a scanner.
The Terminal offers various recreational facilities for when you’re waiting to board your train to London. Relax in one of the cafés, shops or comfortable lounge areas before your departure.
Find the Channel Terminal on the station plan >
For the last part of your journey, travel by Eurostar at 300km/h – through the Channel Tunnel – and reach London after a travel time of only 1 hour 48 minutes.
The train’s terminus is London St Pancras International. Ideally located in the city centre, this train station provides easy access to other means of public transportation, as well as many of the city’s tourist attractions.
1 Our booking system takes into account the time it takes to check in, offering you departure times to London which have been adjusted accordingly.
