Due to two consecutive strikes in Belgium, the rail service on the Belgian rail network will be limited from Sunday 23 March (10 pm) to Sunday 30 March 2025 included. And on Monday 31 March, a national strike will affect various domains in Belgium, including rail traffic.
An alternative train service will be put in place depending on the available staff. The detailed schedule for every day will be available 48h ahead on www.belgiantrain.be.
Please take alternative service into account if you are travelling on our cross-border local trains to/from Lille, Maubeuge, Luxembourg, Roosendaal, Maastricht or Aachen or if you need to take a local connection in Belgium before or after your international journey.
Monday 24 March to Sunday 30 March
No consequences have been announced for international trains (Eurostar, TGV INOUI, ICE, OUIGO etc...) so far, except for:
Eurocity Direct (Brussels-Amsterdam): half of the trains operating. Notice, however, that they will terminate in Rotterdam until Thursday 27 March due to planned engineering works in the Netherlands. Cancelled trains from Monday 24 to Sunday 30 March:

Special information about tickets for the EuroCity or Eurocity Direct train for travel between Belgium and the Netherlands from 22/03 to 31/03:
Nightjet: the train from Vienna and Berlin of Tuesday 25/3 will terminate in Cologne. The train to Vienna and Berlin of Wednesday 26/3 will depart from Cologne. Between Cologne and Brussels/Liège, passengers can use ICE trains.
