Getting to Brussels from Amsterdam by train has never been easier. Take advantage of the direct Eurostar or Eurocity Direct trains and you’ll be at the heart of Europe’s capital in less than 2 hours.
Your journey starts on board Eurostar trains from Amsterdam Central Station or Eurocity Direct trains from Amsterdam Zuid Station. Both will get you to Brussels (Zuid/Midi) train station. The high-speed Eurostar trains run this route in 1:50. The journey takes a bit less than 2 hours on Eurocity Direct trains.
Upon your arrival, you’ll find a wide range of public transport lines (tram, metro, bus or even train) on offer, so you can start your visit to Brussels with ease. If you’re up for it, you can even rent a bicycle and head to Grand Place, Manneken Pis and the city’s many other tourist attractions!
Due to announced strike in Belgium, the rail service on the Belgian rail network will be limited from Sunday 23 March (10 pm) to Sunday 30 March 2025 included.
An alternative train service will be put in place depending on the available staff. The detailed schedule for every day will be available on www.sncb.be the day before.
Please take alternative service into account if you are travelling on our cross-border local trains to/from Lille, Maubeuge, Luxembourg, Roosendaal, Maastricht or Aachen or if you need to take a local connection in Belgium before or after your international journey.
No consequences have been announced for international trains (Eurostar, TGV INOUI, EuroCity, Eurocity Direct, ICE, OUIGO etc...) so far.
We advise to check this page regularly for further updates.
